The ModMD COVID-19 testing platform on a tablet and two phones: an organization’s manager list, a symptom checklist and a payment step

Six steps instead of a complex registration: the COVID-19 testing platform we designed for ModMD, a concierge testing service in Los Angeles used by film production crews. Its design system uses an unconventional palette that suits the entertainment industry and still works under pressure.

The project

Their platform allows users to schedule tests, access results promptly, and provides daily health questionnaires for organizations to monitor staff well-being.

We were tasked with designing a COVID-19 testing management platform tailored for ModMD’s clientele, particularly Hollywood film production staff. A significant achievement was optimizing a complex testing registration process into just six intuitive steps.

The design system features an unconventional color scheme that resonates with the entertainment industry’s aesthetic while remaining functional in a critical work environment. Such projects rely on consistent yet invisible design touches to ensure seamless experiences under high-pressure conditions.
